Outsider Poetry Co-Editor Thomas L. Vaultonburg At the Rockford Art Museum

This is the last weekend for the show Jenny and I are in, Bittersweet Memories, at the Rockford Art Museum. We'll be there Monday to assist with the teardown of the show, as we were there in June helping with the install. The months went by so fast. It seemed like in the beginning the show would be there forever. I am fortunate enough to know the best photographer in town, Ryan Davis , who agreed to take some pictures of Jenny and I on the last week of the show. Here I am standing front of the 26 panels from our book Atrocious Poems A To Z

Poet Thomas L. Vaultonburg, co-editor of Outsider Poetry, at his exhibit at Rockford Art Museum

It was an honor to be asked to exhibit at the Rockford Art Museum, and it was a blast setting up the show with curator Carrie Johnson, and fellow artists Jeremy Klonicki, Sarah McNamara, Shark Girl, and Jenny Mathews. Seemed like the show might go on forever, but as all creators know you have to move on to the next thing. And boy have we. I just got this photograph from Jenny.

Jenny, Carmen, and Jeremy Klonicli, proprietor at MainfraiM assembling our next book, Lonely Bird, by Stephen Schreiner. Yes, I said assembling, because it is a book with a wood clover that has to be glued together, and there are some other fancy elements that also need to be hand assembled. The book will be debuted at a book release part October 7th at Luna Datura's Curious Gifts at 117 S. 3rd Street in Rockford on October 7th from 4-6 p.m. during Fall Art Scene.

After that we have a project with a plexiglass cover, which should be yet another challenge for Jeremy, but he's up to it. Until then it is my honor to be co-editor with Olivia here at Outsider Poetry, so please keeps those poems coming.
